The PuristS visit to Glashütte Original in October 2003 included a visit to the local brew house in Dresden - 'Brauhaus am Waldschlösschen'.

"If you build it, the people will come...".

Brewing vessels.

Dark 'Dunkle' and lighter 'Pilsener-style' beer.

Weissbier made from wheat has a fragrant sweet taste.

Bread and 'dripping'.

Dripping is the lard and cooking juices from the kitchen. It's s-o-o-o difficult these days to get real dripping.

"Cheers!"

Wiener Schnitzel baked in butter with salad and roasted sliced potatoes; MTF's choice.

Crispy knuckle of pork on dark beer sauce, sauerkraut and bread dumplings; HTF's choice.

The revellers were revelling!

Someone managed to have dessert - 'Movenpick Monster' even after what looked like half a farmyard roast for main course! :)

Some of us leaving the brauhaus; the rest of the PuristS were still inside, in the warmth........
