I love Paris in the morning....

And in the evening too....

I love Paris even if she keeps me waiting....

But most of all, I love Cartier in Paris, anytime of the year...
The juxtaposition of cars and Cartier seems quite comical too; okay, I had a little champagne, everything was deliciously funny!

Where else but Cartier do you find coffee trays with the same decoration as on my cufflinks?

A few days before, something else was deliciously in town. Imagine, a conference about sandwiches...hmmm...
It is a cold, sunny, February day in Paris. Only 2 days before my perpetual calendar watches clamour for a chance to be this Leap Year's on-wrist 'date leaper'.
My thoughts turn to lunar cycles and Gregorian calendars and then to the first watch on the moon. Does it really matter whether a cal 861 may or may not have made it secretly to the moon? Get a Life!
But I digress - the Omega Boutique in rue de la Paix in the place Vendome area of Paris is holding an exhibition of Moon watches right now (Feb 2004). Hence the lunatic title of this report.

There they are - the full set of 'Space Speedies' with suitcase, which cost more than 50,000 Euros when first released as a set. Cost today? Priceless.

Obligatory moon rock photo: this lump cost more per gram than platinum to bring home.

Obligatory moon suit photo.

Not strictly a moon watch but there'll always be 'space' in my heart for one of these

Galeries LaFayette - a department store, an institution and temple of chic consumerism. My kind of place, really...

Here is the real reason that I never tire of the Galeries LaFayette.

Now, tell me again - why do you love Paris?
